The Fan (1996)
The Fan is a thrilling story of a knife salesman named Gil Renard (Robert De Niro), a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan who would kill to see his team in the playoffs. Gil isn’t just the average fan, he played the game. Gil becomes obsessed when the Giants acquire free agent outfielder Bobby Rayburn (Wesley Snipes) believing that the acquisition puts the Giants over the top, making them a contender in the National League. However Rayburn struggles terribly after his injury in the season-opener, and the Giants suffer right along with him. Gil is convinced that Bobby isn’t hitting because Latin outfielder, Juan Primo (Benicio del Toro) won’t give up his number 11 jersey to Bobby. Gil is bitter over losing his family and job, and hangs on to the one thing he cares about, baseball. He is determined to do anything to get Rayburn and the Giants back on track.

Thiller… more like a Killer! Definitely a kick-ass sports movie, but has some major flaws showing in the filming of the stadiums. The music is awesome!
